Sweeping alone does not guarantee a solution to a draft problem or repair a damaged component.

Water Entry or a Component Repair

Tell the team where you see water, cracks, or deterioration and whether previous work has been done. A chimney cap, masonry crown, chase cover, firebox, and refractory panel are different components. Ask how the finding supports the proposed work, what the estimate includes, and whether further investigation is needed.

A Visit You Can Understand

The technician needs access appropriate to the agreed service and a clear description of the concern. Ask which areas will be examined and which are outside the scope.
